Originally, JUSTONEUS® COLLECTIVE was intended to be a songwriter showcase with rotating musicians and featured artists, but we are opening up to include collaborative artists of other mediums. It's a platform for artists to find, support, and be inspired by, other artists- and also expand their visibility. While we will only feature collaborations that vibe with what we are building, all artists that contribute to JUSTONEUS® COLLECTIVE will be credited and listed with links and contact info (at each artist's discretion) to help expand their audiences and encourage cross-promotion and more collaboration.

It started when Justoneus (the man behind the brand) decided to book shows with his original music to expand the reach of his songs beyond the occasional open mic, campfire, or intimate jam. The problem? He is more of a supportive musician than a songwriter and only has a handful of original songs that were mostly written on acoustic guitar which is not his strongest instrument (so his songs tend to sound better with other talented musicians playing along). The solution? Bring in some friends who are versatile musicians with their own songs and take turns backing each other up. That's what happened at the first JUSTONEUS® COLLECTIVE show in April of 2026 when the concept was still barely forming.

It wasn't until later in the year when Justoneus discovered how much he really loves being creative with other people and, further, inspiring others to open up and be more consciously creative. Looking back, he realized how this has been a common thread throughout his life- even outside of music. It became clear that JUSTONEUS® COLLECTIVE is a natural way for him to do what he loves most in service of our collective potential to create a better world- while supporting others in doing the same.

On our YouTube channel, we will be leaning into music at first because that's what we know best, but collaborations between other kinds of artists may be featured in the future. We are actively seeking songwriters who have at least one song that fits the JUSTONEUS® brand ethos that would like to collaborate on a live video performance and share their song to our growing audience and attract more visibility to all their offerings. For the videos, it is more about authenticity than perfection- played in real time, minimal editing. We can stage the video shoots and choose from multiple takes (there doesn't have to be a venue or audience)- but the videos will clearly be of live performances. We will only post what is agreed upon by the songwriter and Justoneus based on video, audio, and performance quality (and lyrical content, but that's determined before the shoot). JUSTONEUS® COLLECTIVE does not claim any ownership of songs brought by other songwriters- they retain full rights to record and sell their songs as much or little as they want and we encourage publishing their original work elsewhere. Once the channel is monetized, JUSTONEUS® COLLECTIVE will pay out contributing songwriters based on views of their songs on our channel.
